BlenderBIM on Apple ARM - Blender crashing when quitting

  1. Z

I have currently Blender 3.3 official, 4.0 stable and 3.5 alpha installed

on my M1 Mini 16 GB, macOS 13.2 Ventura public beta.

On all Blenders I have BlenderBIM installed and activated.

When recently updating my Blender Apps

(and instantly updating and activating latest BlenderBIM AddOn as usual)

I noticed that, when closing Blender , with any kind of file "changes" and not saving file,

after Blender shuts down, Apple Crash Reporter pops up for a Blender Crash.

Had this in the past, but not for all my Blender versions and it seemed to stop at one point.

It is not a big issue, as BlenderBIM AddOns seem to work basically fine.

Just a bit irritating. **So I downgraded from latest daily build to latest official Apple ARM BBIM.

But that did not change anything.** So not really an BBBIM alpha thing.

As I only have two external AddOns, BlenderBIM and Speckle, and because no one else

could reproduce my Blender closing Problems, I just switched both AddOns OFF.

And Blender could close normally !

When reactivating one at a time and restarting, it was BlenderBIM AddOn that causes the

Crash at shut down. When just deactivating the BlenderBIM AddOn and restarting Blender,

it behaves as expected - activating BlenderBIM again and shut down will crash Blender.

If Apple Crash Reporter Logs are of interest IU could provide.

    Thank you @Moult

I can hide Blender Settings later to see it makes a difference when

    BlenderBIM activated.

But just deactivating BlenderBIM and restarting Blender once will

already stop Crash Reporter appearing when I close Blender.

For now I will try to send a few of Apple's crash logs by DM.

Could be that Blender closing crashes on Apple ARM,

    with BlenderBIM activated,

just stopped now by just updating to latest macOS 13.2 Public Beta

    which I did today !?
