Temporary Section Cutaways can't cut stairs

  1. H

Hello, I can't cut stairs using the temporary section cutaways, is it a bug, or is there something I missing? thank you

Hello ! The temporary section cutaway feature adds a node group to the material of the object that is cut out, could you verify that the stairs and the walls share the same material ?

If you don't want them to share the same material, select the stairs, go into the shader editor, and add the "Section Override" node group just before the material output node's surface input :

    Thanks, I'll try it

is it the same problem that I am having here?

@Guileoni this should be fixed in the latest dev builds, what version are you using ?

    Blender 4.0

I think he meant BB version.

Here's the latest releases of BB: https://github.com/IfcOpenShell/IfcOpenShell/releases

There's actually been some new developments with 'section cutaways'.

@Guileoni if you're still struggling with installing the latest dev versions jump in the OSArch live chat and we can have a screensharing session when you're online :)
