PSA: Cryptocurrency - bitcoin & etherium

This is slightly off topic, more a Public Service Announcement ... but it is something we have discussed mostly in the context of receiving payment and paying developers.

Etherium switched a while ago from the 'proof of effort' to the 'proof of stake' model of mining. Their energy consumption has therefore plummeted. I don't know how much their blockchain accounts for or if this is already included. A blockchain is by definition using redundant copies on redundant hardware, so it is inherently wasteful looking purely at the question of energy consumption.

So please, if you're using cryptocurrency, consider switching to etherium or some other 'proof of stake' based crypto.

I'm just adding the legend because I wondered what the 2 colors meant.
