    No, the fastest way would be to use the type manager:

    1. Open launch type manager

    1. Select Railing type

    1. Create railing type

    1. choose details and save type

    1. Railing type should be added to your project

    1. Add railing

    1. press edit railing button (or press TAB to enter edit mode thanks @Gorgious ;)

    1. edit railing

    1. You have now edited your railing:

    I did do it this way, but was expecting that all the instances would not share the share geometry, like the following.

    Would expect it to share all the following values, but not the path/polyline. That way, you don't have to create a new type for every railing you have in a project. Perhaps i'm missing something.

    I swear it didn't used to work like that, but ya I'd say this is a bug, for now the workaround would be to create a unique railing type for each one in the project

    I thought this was working as intended ! It would be awesome to share railing parameters in a IfcRailingType.

    @Gorgious share railing parameters yes. Share railing polyline, no.
