IfcMerge - 'Merge this Branch' doesn't seem to work

  1. T

    @brunopostle Hi again. :)

    It doesn't seem like 'Merge this Branch' should be grayed out--perhaps I'm missing something.

    created a simple repo, to test... https://hub.openingdesign.com/OpeningDesign/GIT_test.git

    bb 20240605

    I switched that to true to just test...

    Then tried to merge branch.

    Got this error

    IFC Merge failed:

    /mingw64/libexec/git-core/git-mergetool--lib: line 176: ifcmerge: command not found

    merge of git.ifc failed

    BlenderBIM doesn't ship with ifcmerge.exe, you have to download it and put it in your PATH.

    It could be added to the BlenderBIM installer, or at least a setting like the file association. Unfortunately, the way that git handles merges it has to be a separate executable file.

    Ah, I think that was the problem, i thought it was installed with BB. Thanks!.. will try and install.
