    @Ace with a fresh blender I don't see two versions of bonsai in Get Extensions, just the stable release. The daily snapshot is only available if you enable the unstable repo at https://github.com/IfcOpenShell/bonsai_unstable_repo

    However the user experience for this could be better: the snapshot version could be named 'Bonsai Unstable' to distinguish it, instead of having two Bonsais; and maybe there could be some way to enable the unstable repo from within the stable installed Bonsai - ie. a big button in add-on Preferences that switches between stable/unstable

    @Ace Hello! I followed your tutorial to the letter, but first of all in the extensions I only could see one version of Bonsai, the stable one 0.8.1. Once I unistalled it, closed, opened Blender again and installed it, I am not able to turn Bonsai on from the add-ons tab, ig gives me the following error, any idea what went wrong and how can I have Bonsai working again? I use Blender 4.3.2

    Hi @tessafk,

    As Bruno mentioned above only one version is available normally, which is the stable release,

    I would reccomend sticking to the stable release for the most part.

    I will update this video again at a later stage but generally if you want to update to the latest daily release,

    The simplest way would be to:

    1) Deactivate Bonsai in the addons tab

    2) Close Blender

    3) Open Blender again

    4) Uninstall Bonsai in the extensions tab

    At this point, because you have an error, just to clear any cache or anything I would recommend restarting you computer

    5) download the latest daily release here:

    https://github.com/ifcopenshell/ifcopenshell/releases

    Chose the version that matches your (OS) Operating system (Windows, for example)

    Choose the PY 311 version of the appropriate OS

    6) In the extensions tab select the top left drop down and say 'install from disk'

    !

    7) Navigate to where you downloaded the daily release and confirm the choice sith 'install from disk

    !

    And it should install and activate the addon for you without error

    Generally I would recommend not working on the daily release unless you want to be running into issues before everyone else haha, but if you do want to use it I would recommend having two separate installations of Blender and running the stable release on 1 and the daily release on the other

    Thank you so much @Ace for your very exhaustive answer! Looking at the whole error code the MeasureIT-arch addon somehow conflicts with Bonsai. Once I turned that addon off I was able to have my Bonsai extension work again.
