    I assume that the possibility of specifying a formula is not yet the next item on the list, but I would like to leave here my thoughts on the matter:

    • the place where the formula appears is related to the (click on the "enable editing cost item quantity" icon) quantity property of the base object:

    • according to the documentation:

    I think that the formula, in this case, is to "explain" how this value was arrived at and not to be used in calculations.

    If I am correct, this would not be the place to insert a formula that changes the quantity in the cost item.

    yes, that was the intention, only a place where to store the query, not the formula
