Because of its importance I open a new topic to discuss about IFC, BlenderBIM and FreeCAD documentation methods
PLM has Product and Manufacturing Information (PMI) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Product_and_manufacturing_information)
Also (https://www.capvidia.com/blog/what-is-pmi-product-manufacturing-information)
Which I think would be an invaluable approach to implement in BIM world too
Over 70% of the IFC is related to IfcElement/IfcProduct and Presentation and Representation
So, @Moult @yorik do you think does it possible to implement PMI through IFC?

I think this is a really important consideration. How can we document, represent and communicate (2D, 3D, structured data) various MVD's at different scale and details with BlenderBIM? The traditional route of generating 2D drawings packs from the model feels like it is getting outdated, perhaps good for archiving, specific model freezes and data drops, but is there a more dynamic way this could be achieved?
I'm currently trying to generate some documents from BlenderBIM but am struggling to get any output, is the process documented anywhere?

@ChubbyQuark - the documentation process from the BlenderBIM Add-on has not been documented, and I wouldn't call it ready for people to really use unless they wanted to experiment with a highly unfinished feature. There is a huge amount of work still to be done.
A portion of it is talked about in this talk: https://peertube.social/videos/watch/af5f5e3d-bd0c-4dfd-9caf-d6b9a7993b30

@ChubbyQuark I think what I suggest is clear and @Moult knows it clearly

@Moult @ReD_CoDE OK, thanks. I'll check the link. I'd be happy to test, as a potential end user, and document when you feel the feature is finished.
