In this monthly meetup the keynote presentation will be given by the developer of the Blender-OSM Add-on, Vladimir Elistratov (@prochitecture ), on its current state and ongoing development.
The ultimate goal of the add-on is to generate an environment in Blender out of OpenStreetMap data as realistically as possible. A part of the talk will be dedicated to the textual description of the building style.
Disclaimer: Each meetup will be recorded and published publicly online under a Creative Commons CC BY-SA 2.0 license to help share everything we learn and discuss with the public. If you are uncomfortable with your presence being recorded and published publicly online, you can turn off your microphone and webcam using the buttons at the middle bottom of your screen. You can still participate by typing into the chat window which can be found on the bottom left. If you want, you can also change your display name to an alias using the menu button on the bottom right, and then clicking your name at the top of the menu that appears. You will be given the option to rename your display name. Alternatively, you are free to not join the meetup, and watch the recording online later, which will be uploaded to a public Peertube channel and Youtube channel.
At the start of each meeting, we will reiterate the public nature of these meetings to allow for any privacy concerns, and give time for users to anonymize themselves as necessary, and then start the recording and begin the meeting.
Thanks @topologic that's good advice. I created one with an online tool (not sure it is 100% ok but looks so) but I cannot upload directly an ics file in the post. So, I have created a dropbox link to the file and added the link to the original post. It seems to work, clicking the link and then opening the file. If anyone encounters any problem please let me know.
For the upcoming meetups maybe we can do something better than a dropbox link.

Cool. Worked for me perfectly. A couple of extra steps, but worked as expected and at the correct time for my timezone. Thanks
hi there. I take the role of host for the monthly meetup that Ioannis organizes. Can we maybe meet online soon briefly to see how your lighting and acoustics are? Sometimes those things are easy to improve. Also I'd like to start introducing people a bit better so we all know who's talking, so I'd like to just hear a bit about who you are and your background if that's okay. We probably have Ralph Grabowski from upfrontezine as a guest so it seem like a good time to see if we can lift the quality of our setup where that's possible. Maybe you can just catch me in the chat https://osarch.org/chat/
@duncan great, yes that would be useful as Vladimir was asking me if he can show videos during his presentation. So, a test session is definitely needed and I will try to be present, too, to check my setup for the video recording.
@Jesusbill videos with BBB can actually work well I think since everyone can download a copy of a presentation and let them be controlled by the presenter. Definitely worth testing as they are often a terrible way to present if there are poor connections. Can you suggest some times @prochitecture ? I know it might be a big close but Thursday European evening works for me. I'm working on a pressed project delivery up to Thursday. @Jesusbill do you have a quick way to get hold of Vladimir so we can set something up?
