Lidar and pointclouds in Blender

   My brother came over yesterday to show his new flashy iPhone 12 with Lidar. He scanned me and to my great suprise it had .ply export format. This is me in Blender in my best Christmas clothing. I measured myself and it's surprisingly accurate.

   No. Haha!

   This is Amsterdam city :) I want to do some checking. Would come in handly if could somehow make a mesh trom pointclouds.

   Exploring some..

   

   DTM? CloudCompare looks more simple. From first implession.

   The georeferencing part.

   I had trouble with that too. Tried downloading directly with console using pip, and it worked, but got insta crash when launching Blender afterwards. I guess maybe wait for the stable release. In the meantime you can try providing feedback on the BA thread : https://blenderartists.org/t/point-cloud-visualizer/684180
