I have too much on my plate to participate in steering anything right now unfortunately, but excited anyway!
We're doing something very similar at FreeCAD, trying to set things up more formally, set up a non-profit, etc.. I'll be always happy to share resources and set up common operations too.
This is an exciting moment!

In my readings on non-profits, etc., many suggest an odd number of members. We have 6 now, any peeps out there, interested in being the 7th? @yorik? :)

I propose creating a publicly reviewable, matrix chatroom, dedicated to steering community discussion and conversation. Sound good?
@theoryshaw sure something like that sounds like a good idea. There's some new 'space' concept in Matrix I haven't quite explored. It seems like we can create a 'OSArch Space' and have different channels 'inside' it. If it works something like then that would seem ideal to group things inside. Like I say I haven't had a chance to look at it, it's just something I noticed. If it seems relevant ping me on Matrix and I'll look at the settings. Dion, Tetov (Anton) & I have the codes to the Matrix room.
i think these matrix "spaces" are only personal, like folders where you can classify your rooms, but it doesn't reflect to everybody?

@theoryshaw Do I understand that discussion correctly that we can't set it up since we don't host our own instance? (But they're working on it). I can't find a guide anywhere and can't find any relevant buttons in the app.element.io interface
See the following video, I 'think' it might be because the OSArch tag is dedicated to a room...
Maybe try changing the room hash tag, and then maybe you can create the space?
@theoryshaw I can't find a way to release that handle. I've changed the description to "OSArch Chat - Open Source in Architecture"
So we could make a Space called "Open Source in Architecture" and have "OSArch Chat" & "OSArch organization" as rooms under the space (we should think about names before we jump into creating things. It seems like the handles are fixed. once created.)

I can't do Wednesday or Thursday. I don't know who he's mentioned it to but Dion wrote to me today that he will be out of the game for a little while, he's now a father (congrats @Moult) . I don't know if that means he's not coming to a meeting, but he's not commented on the forum since the 18th, so I don't expect to see him anytime soon.
So, is today's meeting at 20:00 UTC still on?
I think it is important to have @theoryshaw present.
I am open to reschedule for another day, perhaps for next Saturday?
